Marshfield Country Stores is a beautiful
grade II listed Victorian shop. It has all its
original wooden shelves, drawers and even a Victorian tiled
fireplace. The building has
been used for many purposes during its lifetime, including a
haberdashery, grocers, butchers and now as the Country
Stores.
For three generations it was owned
and named after the Bodman family, who created a magnificent
shop, selling everything the people of Marshfield required.
It is now owned by two sisters, Sally
and Rachel, who are recapturing the gentle atmosphere of
this beautiful and traditional shop, offering traditional
gifts and curiosities.
They also offer stock pieces of
antique furniture, pieces from the antique markets of
France, antique linens and many unique gift ideas.
When visiting the shop you really
feel like you have been transported back in time.
There really isn't another shop quite
like it. |
